What is Casidra?

Casidra is an acronym stands for; Cape Agency for Sustainable Integrated Development in Rural Areas (Casidra). It is a rural development organisation.


What does Casidra really do?

We give assistance to the communities committed to achieving sustainable development, but which lack the technical skills or resources necessary to implement policies and programmes. In such communities, Casidra' programmes emphasize one or more of its strategic goals depending upon specific needs and the activities of other role players. 


Does Casidra operate nationally?

Not yet, we operate in the Western Cape Province but we also avail ourselves on consultancy services on Community development issues.


Does Casidra have networks or partnerships?

Does Casidra have any international partners?

Yes, refer to partnerships or networks column. 


Does Casidra have a Board of Directors?

Yes, it has eight Board members which meet on quarterly basis or as and when is needed.
