ESELSBANK:SUPPLY AND INSTALL PIPELINE
The works, as described, is part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme of the Department of Agriculture, for the North West Coast District, Eselsbank, situated 11Kms North West of Wupperthal. As the works are urgent, the successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment and complete the work before 30 of October 2017.
The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include material, labour and machinery.
Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)
The road to Wupperthal from the R364 is gravel with two narrow gravel passes and the road to Eselsbank is a two track gravel pass in very poor condition.Sandy conditions can be expected where the trench excavations needs to be done. Rocky conditions can be also be expected deeper down. The contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.
The scope of works will include: The supply and installation of 798 metres of 160mm/4 UPVC pipeline.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
1. a functionality compliance test;
2. B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
A compulsory site meeting will be held on 18 July 2017 at 11h00 at WUPPERTHAL Information office, from where we will drive to the site.
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 28 July 2017 strictly at 12H00.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder clearly marked “ESELSBANK:SUPPLY AND INSTALL PIPELINE– BID NO. 29/2017” and placed in the bid box available at Reception of Casidra’s Head Office, 22 Louws Avenue, Southern Paarl. No faxed, counter-to-counter courier or posted bids will be accepted.
