Casidra is an acronym stands for; Cape Agency for Sustainable Integrated Development in Rural Areas (Casidra). It is a Provincial Government Enterprise.

We give assistance to the communities committed to achieving sustainable development, but which lack the technical skills or resources necessary to implement policies and programmes. In such communities, Casidra’ programmes emphasise one or more of its strategic goals depending upon specific needs and the activities of other role players.

Not yet, we operate in the Western Cape Province,  however, we also avail ourselves on consultancy services regarding Community Development Initiatives.

Yes, it has nine Board members which meet on a quarterly basis or as and when is needed.
