After nearly three (3) years of dedicated service, Casidra bids farewell to Farzaad Khatieb, Project Manager: Technical, who concludes his journey with the organisation on 31 July 2026.
Farzaad commenced his role on 4 December 2023 and has since successfully implemented several infrastructure projects across the Western Cape. Since he has joined Casidra, he played a pivotal role in delivering projects that strengthened climate resilience, and improved the livelihoods of rural communities. His last project being the Nuweberg Footbridge in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve which will soon be launched by CapeNature. This bridge enables the residents to access economic activities through a safer route that had previously been destroyed due to extreme weather.
Further to the key projects under his expertise and management was the Baviaans River Phase 2 Erosion Protection Project in Genadendal. By stabilising the riverbanks, the project has significantly reduced erosion risks and helped protect productive farmland for future generations.
There are many fruitful and significant projects and achievements that Farzaad successfully implemented throughout his tenure. His work reflects Casidra’s commitment to developing resilient infrastructure, protecting natural resources and supporting sustainable rural development throughout the Western Cape province. His technical expertise, professionalism and dedication has contributed meaningfully to projects that will continue to benefit communities long after their completion.
As Farzaad embarks on a new chapter in his professional journey, we extend our sincere appreciation for his commitment and valuable contribution to the organisation. We thank him for his service and wish him continued success, fulfilment and every blessing in his future endeavours.
