Advert – Supply Chain Manager
Casidra is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and coordinate the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function of the organisation in line with applicable legislative and regulatory frameworks. The role is responsible for ensuring that SCM systems are fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective, while supporting the organisation’s mandate in rural and agricultural development.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage and implement SCM policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA and BBBEE Act
- Participate in Management Committee (ManCom) meetings
- Oversee end-to-end procurement and tender processes, including bid administration
- Coordinate bid committees and ensure timely submission for adjudication
- Manage supplier database, supplier performance, and contract records
- Lead demand planning, procurement planning, and specification development
- Provide SCM guidance and support to internal stakeholders
- Prepare SCM reports and manage audit queries and findings
- Investigate irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and manage risks
- Lead and manage SCM staff, including training, mentoring, performance management, and development
- Promote ethical procurement practices and a culture of compliance
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration, Finance or related field
- A relevant CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification would be advantageous
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain management within the public sector
- At least 2 years’ experience in working with bid processes
- Previous experience in audit process essential
- At least 2 years’ experience in budgeting, procurement and report writing
- Knowledge of relevant legislations & regulations: PFMA, PPPFA and SCM
- A valid Code B driver’s license

REMUNERATION:
R 896 436 to R 969 808 (TCOE) per annum - The total cost of the remuneration package will be determined based on candidate’s qualifications and experience
