WORCESTER, 16 July 2026: Casidra participated in the African Farming Finance for Farmers Workshop in Worcester today, spotlighting its mandate to drive sustainable agricultural development across the Western Cape.
The workshop provided a platform for financial institutions, government agencies and farmers to connect on funding, risk management and enterprise growth.
Representing Casidra, PR, Marketing and Communications Manager, Experience Matshediso delivered key messages on how the entity assists, develops and supports emerging farmers.
“We encourage emerging farmers to actively access farmer support information, programmes and development opportunities available online and at our offices. These tools are critical to strengthen and grow sustainable farming enterprises,” said Matshediso.
He emphasised that access alone is not enough without guidance and collaboration.
“Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, Casidra remains committed to empowering farmers, strengthening rural communities, and contributing to a resilient and sustainable agricultural sector,” Matshediso added.
The session drew strong participation from farmers who engaged with presenters, asked practical questions, and explored solutions to scale their operations.
“It was encouraging to engage with farmers who participated actively and sought practical ways to strengthen their enterprises. That is the kind of ownership we need in agriculture,” he concluded.
Casidra continues to work with partners to ensure farmers and rural communities have the financial resources such CASP. Grant, Financial Record Keeping, Disaster Funds, training and market access needed for long-term viability.
